Webflow's plan changes reach agency-built sites on 16 November. What should you check?

Short answer

Webflow has merged its CMS and Business Site plans into one Premium plan. Sites in Freelancer or Agency Workspaces, and sites on legacy pricing, move at their next renewal or billable change on or after 16 November 2026. Business sites drop from 100GB to 50GB of included bandwidth, while CMS sites gain much higher limits. Switching to yearly billing before 16 November keeps the current plan for one more year.

What is changing in Webflow's plans?

Webflow has merged its CMS and Business Site plans into one Premium Site plan. It announced the change on 13 May 2026. New purchases switched straight away. Most existing sites move at their next renewal or billable change on or after 29 June 2026.

Sites in Freelancer or Agency Workspaces, and sites on legacy pricing, were given more time. They move at their next renewal or billable change on or after 16 November 2026. Webflow says the delay gives freelancers and agencies time to talk to the clients whose sites they manage.

So if an agency or freelancer built your Webflow site and still hosts it in their Workspace, this is your window. Webflow says some customers will pay more, some less and some the same. Its pricing change calculator gives an estimate for your site, so use that and your own invoice rather than any figure you read online.

What changes on each Webflow plan?

Current planWhat changes when it moves
BasicStays Basic. Static pages double from 150 to 300. Pricing also changes
CMSBecomes Premium. Static pages go from 150 to 300, CMS items from 2,000 to 20,000 and Collections from 20 to 40. Form file upload and faster search indexing are added
BusinessBecomes Premium. CMS items go from 10,000 to 20,000, but included bandwidth drops from 100GB to 50GB and Webflow Cloud limits decrease
EcommerceNo changes planned for now

Two details matter most for Business sites. If a site used more than 50GB in the past two billing months, Webflow adds bandwidth add-ons to cover it, which can change the total cost. And CMS item add-ons are discontinued, because Premium includes 20,000 items.

Which Webflow sites move on 16 November?

Your situationWhen the change reaches you
Site in a Freelancer or Agency WorkspaceNext renewal or billable change on or after 16 November 2026
Site on legacy pricingNext renewal or billable change on or after 16 November 2026
Any other existing siteNext renewal or billable change on or after 29 June 2026, so already in effect
New Site plan purchaseSince 13 May 2026

The trigger is your renewal or a billable change, not the calendar date itself. That has one important consequence. Webflow's help centre says switching billing cycle counts as a billable change. So for a site on the 16 November timeline, a billing switch made on or after 16 November would move it to the new plans.

What should you check before 16 November?

  1. 1Plan, billing cycle and renewal date. Monthly or yearly, and when it renews.
  2. 2Bandwidth. On Business, look at the last two billing months. Above 50GB means add-ons.
  3. 3CMS usage. Count items and Collections. If you pay for CMS item add-ons, they go away.
  4. 4AI credits. Webflow AI now runs on credits allotted per Workspace and pooled across its sites. On self-serve plans they reset monthly and do not roll over. When they run out, AI features stop until the reset or an add-on. If your agency's Workspace holds the credits, agree who pays for AI work on your site.
  5. 5The yearly lock-in. Webflow says switching from monthly to yearly billing before the changes take effect keeps your current Site plan for one more year. For these sites, that means switching before 16 November. It buys time, but it also commits you for a year.
  6. 6Who owns the Workspace. If the site lives in your agency's Workspace, billing decisions sit with them. Confirm who decides.

Should you stay on Webflow or move?

This is our advice, not Webflow's.

Stay if your marketing team edits pages and CMS content often, your usage fits Premium's limits, and the calculator shows a change you can live with. Webflow still suits teams who want a visual editor without a developer.

Consider moving if you chose Business mainly for its 100GB of bandwidth and now need add-ons, if nobody on your team opens the Designer, or if you want the site in code you own. Do not lock in a year of yearly billing if you already plan to rebuild in the next few months.

A move is a project, not a click. You need a URL inventory, one-to-one 301 redirects and a check that page titles and metadata survive. Our Framer vs Webflow vs Next.js comparison covers the trade-offs.

Worked example: an agency-built site that renews in December

This is a hypothetical scenario, not a client. A SaaS startup's Webflow site was built by an agency. It sits in the agency's Agency Workspace on a Business plan, billed monthly, and renews on 5 December.

  1. 1This week, the founder asks the agency for the plan, billing cycle, renewal date and the last two months of bandwidth.
  2. 2Bandwidth is about 30GB a month. Premium's 50GB covers it, so no add-ons.
  3. 3The CMS holds 1,200 items in 6 Collections, well inside Premium.
  4. 4They run the calculator with Business, monthly and 50GB or less, and compare the result with the current invoice.
  5. 5They decide before 16 November, not 5 December. If the new terms are acceptable, they do nothing and the site moves to Premium on 5 December. If they want another year on the current plan and are sure they will stay, they switch to yearly before 16 November. If a rebuild is planned for early next year, they stay monthly and plan the migration.
  6. 6They agree in writing with the agency who owns the Workspace and the billing from now on.

Questions people also ask

When do Webflow's new plans apply to agency-managed sites?

Sites in Freelancer or Agency Workspaces, and sites on legacy pricing, move at their next renewal or billable change on or after 16 November 2026. Most other existing sites have been moving since 29 June 2026.

What happens to my Webflow Business plan?

It becomes Premium automatically. CMS items rise from 10,000 to 20,000, but included bandwidth drops from 100GB to 50GB. If you used more than 50GB in the past two billing months, Webflow adds bandwidth add-ons.

Can I keep my current Webflow plan?

Webflow says switching from monthly to yearly billing before the changes take effect keeps your current Site plan for one more year. Switching billing cycle is itself a billable change, so for sites on the 16 November timeline, switch before 16 November.

Are Webflow Ecommerce plans changing?

Webflow says no changes are planned for Ecommerce Site plans at this time.
