Does your website look AI-made?
Short answer
The Theepa AI-made website check reads your page's HTML, CSS and, for JavaScript apps, its bundles, and runs 15 checks in five groups: Typography, Colour, Components, Copy and Builder defaults. It scores originality out of 100: 75 and up looks custom, 55–74 has some AI tells, under 55 looks AI-made. Each failed check comes with what we found and how to fix it.
AI builders like Lovable, v0 and Bolt reach for the same defaults every time, so thousands of launches share one look. This check finds those defaults on your site. It judges how the site looks, not how it was built: a Lovable site with its own type and colour can pass, and a hand-coded one can fail.

This report was made with AI-made website check, a free tool by Theepa Studio. Results come from the inputs on the page when it was saved.
How it works.
The method behind the numbers, so you can judge the result.
- Typography (25): whether the main typefaces are the ones AI builders default to (Inter, Geist, Poppins, the system font and similar), whether headings and body share one face, and whether headlines use gradient-filled text.
- Colour (25): whether you have accent colours of your own or only Tailwind's stock palette and shadcn theme presets, whether the page uses the blue-to-purple gradient, and how many stock colour classes are scattered through the markup.
- Components (20): shadcn/ui cards, buttons and badges left on their original classes, grids of Lucide icons (especially sparkles, bots and lightning), emoji used as icons, and blurred glow blobs or frosted-glass cards.
- Copy (20): stock AI phrases such as unlock, elevate, seamless and supercharge (adjusted for page length), Get Started and Learn More buttons, and placeholder content, including the testimonial names language models tend to invent.
- Builder defaults (10): page titles like Lovable App or Vite + React, the builder's share image or favicon, and Edit with Lovable, Made in Framer or Webflow badges.
- What it can't see: the check reads code, not pixels. Images, illustrations and layout rhythm aren't scored, and a site can pass every check and still feel generic. Typography and colour are skipped when no CSS is available.

AI-made website check: questions
How can you tell if a website was made with AI?
You usually can't prove it, but you can see the defaults AI builders reach for: Inter or Geist as the only typeface, a blue-to-purple gradient, shadcn/ui components on their original theme, a grid of Lucide icons, copy full of unlock and seamless, and a page title or badge left by the builder. This tool checks for those.
Is it bad if my website looks AI-made?
It works fine; it just looks like thousands of other launches. Visitors and investors decide in seconds whether a company looks serious, and a site that looks like a template makes the product look like one too.
Does it work on Lovable, Bolt, v0 and Framer sites?
Yes. For JavaScript apps such as Lovable and Bolt, the URL scan also reads the app's bundles, because the page source is nearly empty. If you paste instead, copy the HTML from your browser's DevTools (Elements › Copy outerHTML), not from View Source.
How do I make a vibe-coded site look custom?
Start with the biggest point losses in your report. Usually that means choosing a real typeface, defining your own brand colours as tokens, retheming the UI kit instead of replacing it, and rewriting the headline in plain words. Theepa does this as a fixed-price website or AI MVP cleanup project.
