How Much Does a Website Cost in Dubai & the UAE? (2026 Prices in AED)

Scroll to read

Websites in Dubai cost AED 1,000 to AED 150,000+. See 2026 prices in AED by website type, platform and running costs, and what a fair quote includes.

Short answer: in 2026, a website in Dubai and the wider UAE typically costs AED 1,000–3,000 for a template or starter site, AED 5,000–15,000 for a custom-designed small business website, AED 15,000–40,000 for a larger corporate or bilingual (Arabic and English) site, and anywhere from AED 4,000 to well over AED 150,000 for an online store. On top of the build, budget roughly AED 500–5,000 a year for your domain, platform or hosting, and maintenance. At Theepa Studio, a full brand identity plus a custom website of up to 10 pages is a fixed $2,000 (about AED 7,345).

Website prices in Dubai vary widely. Two quotes for "a five-page website" can come back at AED 1,500 and AED 25,000, and both can be fair. The difference is what is actually included: custom design or a template, who writes the content, whether the site works in Arabic, what it runs on, and who looks after it after launch.

This guide breaks down website costs in AED by type of website, by who builds it and by platform, shows the running costs most quotes leave out, and gives you a checklist for comparing proposals. We design brands and websites for clients in the UAE and more than 80 countries, so the ranges below are based on what businesses here are typically quoted in 2026.

Prices reviewed October 2026. All figures are typical market ranges in AED and exclude 5% VAT unless stated.

Website Cost in Dubai at a Glance (2026)

Typical price ranges for design and build in the UAE:

  • DIY website builder: you build it yourself and pay only platform fees, usually a few hundred dirhams to around AED 1,500 a year.

  • Template or starter website (1–5 pages): AED 1,000–3,000.

  • Landing page (one custom-designed page): AED 1,500–6,000.

  • Custom small business website (5–10 pages): AED 5,000–15,000.

  • Corporate or bilingual website (10–30 pages, Arabic and English): AED 15,000–40,000.

  • E-commerce store (Shopify or WooCommerce): AED 4,000–25,000, with fully custom stores from AED 50,000 to AED 150,000+.

  • Custom web app, portal or marketplace: AED 50,000–150,000+.

If you are a small or growing business that needs a professional website, the AED 5,000–15,000 band is where most projects should sit. Below it, you are usually buying a template. Above it, you are paying for scale, integrations or a bigger team.

What You Get at Each Price Point

AED 1,000–3,000: template and starter sites. A pre-built theme with your logo, colours and text dropped in, usually three to five pages. It is a reasonable way to get online quickly or test an idea. The catch: the same template is often sold to other businesses in your industry, layouts are hard to change, SEO is basic, and you may not own the files or the hosting account. If an AED 500 website looks tempting, ask exactly what happens when you want to change it.

AED 1,500–6,000: landing pages. A single, focused page for a launch, an event, an app or a campaign. The price depends on how much custom design, copywriting and animation it needs. A good landing page does one job: it explains the offer and gets the visitor to act. Our Drift app landing page and Simorgh Pack Co. landing page are two examples.

AED 5,000–15,000: custom small business websites. This is where design starts working for your business rather than just filling a page. Expect a site structure planned around your goals, custom design for desktop, tablet and mobile, a CMS for your blog, projects or products, on-page SEO, speed checks, and training so your team can edit the site. Our web design services sit in this band.

AED 15,000–40,000: corporate and bilingual websites. More pages and templates, Arabic and English versions with right-to-left layouts, more stakeholders to sign off, and integrations such as CRM, booking or payment systems. Bilingual sites cost more because Arabic is not just translated text: navigation, layouts, typography and imagery all need to work in both directions.

AED 4,000 and up: e-commerce. A standard Shopify or WooCommerce store with your branding, product pages, checkout, local payment gateways and shipping rules usually lands between AED 4,000 and AED 25,000. Large catalogues, multi-currency selling, inventory or ERP integrations and custom features push projects to AED 50,000 and beyond.

What Drives the Cost of a Website in the UAE

When two quotes look far apart, one of these is usually the reason:

  1. Custom design versus a template. Original design takes research, concepts and revisions. A template skips all three.

  2. Number of unique page designs. Ten pages built from two templates cost less than six pages that each need their own layout. Blog posts and project pages built from one CMS template are cheap to add.

  3. Content. Copywriting, photography, video and product data are the most underestimated costs. Ask who is responsible for each.

  4. Arabic and English. A bilingual site needs translation, right-to-left layouts and Arabic typography. Plan for it from the start rather than bolting it on later.

  5. Features and integrations. Booking systems, payment gateways, CRM connections, WhatsApp chat, member areas and calculators all add development time. Some of these can be handled with AI automation instead of custom code.

  6. Platform. Framer, Webflow, WordPress and Shopify have very different build and running costs (more on this below).

  7. Who builds it. A freelancer, an independent studio and a full-service agency carry very different overheads.

  8. Brand readiness. If you do not have a logo, colours and typography yet, someone has to make those decisions before the website can be designed. Our guide on how much brand identity design costs covers that part of the budget.

  9. Deadline. Rush timelines usually cost more, because your project has to jump the queue.

Freelancer, Studio or Agency: Who Should Build It?

Freelancer (typically AED 1,500–8,000 for a small business site). Usually the cheapest option, and fast for simple sites. Quality varies widely, and one person rarely covers strategy, design, development and SEO equally well. Check reviews on platforms where they are tied to real orders. Our guide on how to find the best designer on Fiverr explains what to look for.

Independent studio (typically AED 5,000–20,000). A small senior team, often with the founder designing the work. You get custom design and direct communication without paying for account managers and large offices. Studios that handle both branding and web design also avoid the gaps that appear when different suppliers do each part.

Full-service agency (typically AED 20,000–60,000+). Bigger teams covering strategy, content, development, SEO and paid media. Worth it for large, complex or multi-market projects. For a small business website, much of the fee pays for overheads rather than the site itself.

Platform Costs: Framer, WordPress, Webflow and Shopify

The platform decides your running costs and how easy the site is to update. Here is how the main options compare for UAE businesses:

  • Framer. Design-led websites with hosting, SSL and a global CDN built in. Site plans cost $10 a month (Basic) or $30 a month (Pro) on yearly billing, about AED 37–110 a month, and yearly plans include a custom domain. Extra languages, such as an Arabic version, cost $20 (about AED 73) a month per language. Framer handles updates and security, so there is no core software or plugins to patch, which keeps maintenance low. A strong fit for brand-led marketing sites your team wants to edit visually.

  • WordPress. The software is free, but you pay for hosting (often AED 200–800 a year for a small business, more for managed hosting), plus premium themes and plugins. It is flexible and has a huge ecosystem, but it needs regular updates, backups and security monitoring, so budget for maintenance.

  • Webflow. Similar to Framer: a visual builder with hosting included, paid through monthly site plans. A good fit for content-heavy marketing sites.

  • Shopify. A popular choice for online stores in the UAE. You pay a monthly subscription plus payment processing fees, and paid apps add up quickly, so count them before you commit.

The Running Costs Most Quotes Leave Out

The build is a one-off cost. These keep coming every year:

  • Domain name: a .com or .ae domain usually costs about AED 40–150 a year.

  • Platform or hosting: roughly AED 200–1,500 a year for most small business sites.

  • Maintenance and support: agency care plans in Dubai commonly start around AED 300 a month. On a platform like Framer, many businesses only pay for occasional changes.

  • Business email: Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, billed per user per month.

  • Content and marketing: new pages, blog posts, SEO and ads, if you want the site to keep bringing in leads.

  • VAT: UAE VAT is 5%. If your supplier is VAT-registered, check whether the quote includes it.

One rule worth insisting on: your domain, hosting and platform accounts should be registered in your company's name, with your designer added as a collaborator. If you ever change supplier, you keep the site.

Example: What a Small Business Website Costs in Year One

Here is a realistic year-one budget for a seven-page, custom-designed website for a Dubai service business, built on Framer:

  • Design and build by a studio: AED 7,000–12,000

  • Framer site plan, billed yearly: about AED 440 (Basic) to AED 1,320 (Pro)

  • Domain: AED 0–150 (a custom domain comes with yearly Framer plans)

  • Arabic version (optional): about AED 880 a year for the extra language, plus translation

  • Maintenance: minimal, because hosting, security and updates are handled by the platform

Year-one total: roughly AED 7,500–14,500, then about AED 500–2,500 a year after that, depending on your plan, languages and how often you update the site.

What a Fair Website Quote Should Include

Before you compare prices, make sure each proposal answers these questions in writing:

  • How many pages, and how many unique page designs?

  • Is the design custom, or based on a template?

  • How many concepts and revision rounds are included?

  • Is it designed and tested for mobile and tablet?

  • Who writes the copy, and who provides the photos?

  • Is an Arabic version included, and is it designed right-to-left or only translated?

  • What on-page SEO is included: page titles, meta descriptions, headings, image alt text, structured data, a sitemap and redirects from any old site?

  • Which platform is it built on, and can you edit it yourself?

  • Who owns the domain, the hosting account and the design files?

  • What support is included after launch, and for how long?

  • What is the timeline and payment schedule, and is VAT included?

The better your brief, the more accurate the quotes will be. Use our guide on how to brief a designer, or the questionnaire method we use with clients.

Why Your Brand Should Come Before (or With) Your Website

One of the most expensive website mistakes in Dubai is building the site before the brand is ready. The site gets designed around a placeholder logo and stock colours, the business rebrands a year later, and then it pays for the website all over again.

Your brand identity sets the colours, typography, imagery and tone that every page uses. When the same team designs both, the website launches sooner, discovery is not repeated, and nothing gets lost between designer and developer. We explain this in detail in why web design and brand identity can't be separated, and you can see it in practice in our Dr. Meal brand and web project.

If you are starting from zero, read what brand identity is and what it includes first. It will make every website conversation easier.

How to Get More Website for Your Budget

  • Start with fewer, stronger pages. Five to seven well-planned pages usually outperform fifteen thin ones. You can add more later.

  • Use CMS templates for repeatable content. Blog posts, projects, services and team pages built from one template are quick to add without new design costs.

  • Prepare your content early. Waiting for copy and photos is the most common cause of delays and extra fees.

  • Bundle brand and website. One studio, one discovery process, one consistent result.

  • Choose a platform you can edit yourself. Paying a developer for every text change adds up quickly.

  • Design for conversion, not decoration. A clear offer, real proof and an obvious next step matter more than effects. See what makes a website convert.

  • Automate the follow-up. Connect your contact forms to your CRM, email or WhatsApp so no lead slips through. Our guide to AI automation for small businesses shows what works.
